Your Safety is Priority with STAHLS’

It’s no secret that the decorated apparel industry involves increased manufacturing, consumption, and disposal of a variety of raw materials. With that in mind, it’s important to consider the impact of our choices, from which fabrics we use to the where our transfers, materials, and supplies are produced.

When it comes to textiles, many decorators may overlook the potential risks associated with the use of certain fabrics, adhesives, or inks, for example. STAHLS’ is committed to providing safe materials for not only our environment, but the users and wearers of our products.

We’ve completed rigorous testing and are excited to share that, in addition to CPSIA compliance, UltraColor® MAX direct to film transfers are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified!

What is OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 Certification?

OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is an internationally recognized certification system for textiles, developed by the International Association for Research and Testing in the Field of Textile and Leather Ecology. The certification ensures that textiles and textile products are tested for harmful substances and comply with stringent criteria related to human ecology. It covers all stages of textile production, including the raw materials, intermediate and end products, and even accessories such as buttons and zippers.

Promoting Human Health

A primary focus of the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification is the protection of human health. By testing textiles for harmful substances such as heavy metals, pesticides, and formaldehyde, the certification guarantees that the products that we supply customers for daily use do not pose any risks.

The OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification is crucial for items that have direct and prolonged contact with our skin, like decorated apparel! Whether it’s T-shirts and hoodies, jackets, hats, or even bags, the safety certification ensures that STAHLS’ products meet the highest safety standards and provide consumers with peace of mind.

Making Safe Decoration Choices

We believe that choosing to OEKO-TEX® certify our products not only benefits our customers, but also supports sustainable and responsible manufacturing practices. By having UltraColor® MAX direct to film transfers certified with OEKO-TEX®, we’re taking an important step towards creating a safer and more sustainable future for everyone. We hope you’ll join us in supporting this important standard and making more conscious choices for the health of our planet and communities.
