NFL Draft 2020: Ready for Some Football?

Watching the 2020 NFL Draft is probably the closest we’ll come to football any time soon. Did you know Stahls’ has worked with Nike for the past nine years to heat print the personalized jerseys that are handed to players by NFL Commissioner Goodell?

Our first experience heat printing jerseys “behind the curtain” quickly was at the NFL Draft was back in 2012.  We won’t be heat printing behind the curtain this year, but the Nike jerseys we helped customize will still be there.

The 2020 NFL Draft is being broadcast live from NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell’s basement in Bronxville, New York. Teams, players, and decision-makers will chime in electronically. Let’s hope the WiFi signals in Goodell’s basement are strong!

In past years, Stahls’ had the jerseys heat printed and into Goodell’s hands in under 60 seconds. This year, Goodell already has a jersey for each of the 32 NFL teams available to hold up during each announcement. Of course, the player’s name will be missing from the jersey, but Stahls’ has a plan in place.

The team at Stahls’ Decorating Fulfillment Center in Pennsylvania worked hand in hand with Nike to prepare the custom jerseys for the 2020 NFL Draft.

According to Zach Ellsworth of Stahls’ DFC, “We shipped the draft jerseys to Goodell’s management team earlier this week, and we are also responsible for creating a personalized jersey featuring each player’s name. They should go out to the new NFL player early next week.”

To watch the 2020 NFL Draft from the comfort of your home, tune into ESPN, ABC, and NFL Network starting on April 23rd at 8pm ET. This year’s broadcast will be accompanied on social media with a live Draft-A-Thon, designed to raise money for COVID-19 relief efforts.
