The new Hotronix Dual Air Fusion heat press, shown with optional laser alignment system. |
We’re all aware of a number of famous pairs: Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel, the twins (Castor and Pollux) in the constellation Gemini, Jekyll and Hyde, Burns and Allen, Batman and Robin, salt and pepper, peanut butter and jelly – and the list goes on. It seems that every great story has a duo somewhere in it. Now your story of heat printing greatness has its signature duo.
This past weekend at ISS Atlantic City, Stahls’ Hotronix® unveiled their newest heat printing innovation, the Dual Air Fusion™ heat press. The Dual Air Fusion’s dynamic duo consists of two lower platens which can help increase your production by 50%. A single heated upper platen shuttles between the platens, allowing you to prepare materials on one lower platen while the other is in use.
Alright, enough of the official-type language – this thing moves. There are two lower platens, you see, and the upper platen is on a rail, so it can move from station to station – on its own! It’s like having a heat printing robot or something.
The whole thing is programmable from the upper platen’s touch screen controller. You can use the two heat printing stations in unison or independently and set up to four different times and pressures.
Each platen is interchangeable with optional platens, eliminating wait time, allowing you to set up and press at the same time. You can program the machine with two different recipes, say T-shirts with Glitter Flake™ heat transfer material on a 16″ x 20″ platen and sweatpants with Fashion-FILM® Electric on a 6″ x 20″ leg/sleeve platen. Align your design on the T-shirt while the pants are being printed, then align the pants while the shirt is heat printing. That’s an entire outfit decorated on one machine!
Lasers! Just not the kind you use to fight aliens. |
Speaking of alignment, there’s also a fancy optional laser alignment system. Just set the four lasers where you want them and align your garment and design with the laser guides. For example, you could align vertical lasers with each shirt sleeve seam and horizontal lasers with the top and bottom of your design, ensuring that you get correct (and consistent) placement with each press.
This terrific twosome of heat printing stations is also perfect for Direct-to-Garment decorators. With one station dedicated to pre-treatment and the other to curing, you can streamline your operation, saving time and money. Plus, it makes your already pretty cool DTG operation even cooler!
First there was the Fusion™, then came the air-powered Air Fusion™ – now Hotronix is just showing off, except the Dual Air Fusion’s bells and whistles are more than just pretty packaging. They’re incredible time-savers on the coolest machine out there, with the most features of any heat press on the market today. Check it out yourself and see how this innovative heat press can help you write the next chapter of your heat printing story.
