The Stahl family knows the value of starting your own small business. Nearly a century ago in a small garage in Detroit, a dream met opportunity and the STAHLS’ company was born. This year, we celebrate 90 years of helping apparel decorators turn their passion into profits. STAHLS’ proudly remains family-owned and operated, and our core philosophy is the same—customers and employees are an extension of the Stahl family.
The Stahl Family Small Business Scholarship supports aspiring entrepreneurs and provides opportunity for decorators to take their businesses to the next level. Last year, the scholarship program awarded equipment and supplies to 21 new apparel decorators. Additionally, each business was paired with a STAHLS’ industry expert for shop needs, market focus, and personalized training and education. In 2022, the Stahl Family Small Business Scholarship is awarding complete shop makeovers! Winners are selected quarterly and receive new equipment, onsite training, and STAHLS’ expert coaching. The shop makeover package is worth $10,000 and tailored to each winner’s business.

Hub City Ink is a new graphic design and hands-on vocational training program, built to provide a gateway for disabled individuals to find community placement in the apparel decoration industry. With their scholarship winnings, Hub City Ink is excited to develop a better physical business and ultimately provide more opportunities to serve the disabled community.
