Design to Wear Fashion Show debuting at the ISS Long Beach Jan.21-23, 2011 booth #1308 & 1309
By Cara Cherry
Runway worthy designs took the stage recently at the first ever GroupeSTAHL Design to Wear Fashion Show. This amazing and fun event featured 12 models and more than 60 garments.
The garments were broken down into three categories: street wear, active wear and corporate wear. All of the garments worn were decorated with products manufactured by GroupeSTAHL companies and applied with a heat press. Several of the garments featured new heat transfer materials such as Glitter Flake.
Each model was wonderful and very talented. They were brought to us by Marsha Bassi of Productions Plus The Talent Shop. All of the models had runway experience with a range of backgrounds. Several of the models were aspiring actors. Others had modeled internationally at local events like the North American International Auto Show and Fashion in Detroit.
We were especially fortunate to have a few celebrities. Channing Pierce is the current reigning Miss Michigan. She modeled for us this past summer just before receiving her crown.
Another face that may look familiar is that of Jerry Reid. You may remember Jerry from the VH1
hit show, Hogan Knows Best. He is also a very talented singer and he’ll be opening for the NKOTBSB Midwest and East Coast tour this summer.
The fashion show was held at Stage 3 Productions. Stage 3 is a huge facility with several studios that they rent out to automotive, film and corporate clients. They also offer a variety of animation, photography and design services. The runway was designed and set up by Blue World Productions; a well known event services company recognized for their expertise in lighting, sound and stage design.
The Design to Wear show was videotaped and will be debuting at the Imprinted Sportswear Show in Long Beach, CA. Join us at booth #1308 & 1309 on Friday through Sunday to see the show!
