National Tour: Eastern Canada Recap, Part 2

In yesterday’s National Tour: Eastern Canada Recap, Part 1, Customer Service Manager Don Conrod gave an overview of the eastern leg of the National Tour, while National Sales Manager Spencer Ritchie recounted a more detailed description of each stop. Today Spencer finishes his recap of the Québec City, Montréal, and Ottawa dates, staffed by Spencer, Dale Mouscos, Dan Dugas, and Justin Akinsara of Stahls’ Canada and Bill Cook of Stahls’ Transfer Express®. The 2014 National Tour will wrap up with two July events in Toronto. Learn more and register on the National Tour page of our website.

Québec City

A panoramic view of the National Tour stop in Québec City.

Within minutes of our doors opening, we had six clients in-house, all eager to see the new Glitter Flake™ heat transfer material colours, the soon-to-come Custom Vintage Patch program, our new Graphtec cutter on a stand (and at a great price I might add), along with offerings from Transfer Express® ably presented en français by Bill Cook. Dan and Bill were kept constantly busy, with Dale and moi as backup, and suddenly it was 2 pm!

We were too busy for lunch, but one of our Delta Hotel support pals did take the time to grab a tall double cup, creams, and one sugar Tim Horton’s afternoon pick-up for one of our team which was most appreciated, and yet another example of how the Delta team goes above and beyond wherever we have been on Tour.

We started right off with three clients in the room and both Dan and Bill were instantly busy and again, we can report the most interest was in the Epson® SureColor® F2000 Direct-to-Garment printer, closely followed by the 8 new CAD-CUT® Glitter Flake colours. Bill was again busy with our French customers and also presented a number of clients with their own customized shirts with the specifically designed Canada logo, as he has all along the route.

The Montréal attendees were certainly appreciative we were there and had many questions regarding printing on our Roland® BN-20 printer/cutter, and we even solved a problem for a customer who was having problems with adhesion. All in all a good day, and fairly uneventful – we must be getting good at this! Then we were off on our drive to Ottawa, the last stop on what was shaping up to be a very successful eastern tour of our great Stahls’ Canada customers.

Bill, Spencer, Dale, Dan, and Justin look back on a successful tour of eastern Canada.

We had extra help setting up, with Justin having arrived to attend the show and then continue to make calls for the rest of the week. Our first client arrived fifteen minutes early and proceeded to spend two hours with the whole team getting questions answered and hearing about our extensive Custom Embroidered Patch program and new products, like our soon-to-arrive Custom Vintage Patch lineup, which is garnering a lot of interest. We can hardly wait for the launch of patches in July!

Again there was strong interest in Transfer Express and Bill hit his stride. Justin and Dan were also very busy, as we had a strong turnout and successful last day on tour. Again most interest in our DTG printer from Epson. Then it was time to pack up and, with a certain slight touch of sadness, wrap up our tour.

We left with lots of memories, success, and enjoyment, a strong sense of accomplishment, and pride in a job well done. Au revoir for now and so long until next year.
