Have you ever heat pressed the wrong number to a jersey or spelled a player’s name wrong? We know mistakes happen all too often in the apparel decorating industry and they can get expensive. Luckily, some mistakes can be saved when using the STAHLS’ Letter Remover Solvent. This solvent can be used to remove 15 different CAD-CUT® Heat Transfer Vinyl from fabrics.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Before you begin, you need a plain white cloth and STAHLS’ Letter Remover Solvent.
- Step 1: Get the cloth wet with the solvent and test a spot first in an inconspicuous area to ensure the color of your garment does not fade.
- Step 2: With the moistened cloth, rub the back of the vinyl area from inside of the garment.
- Step 3: Use your hand as a guide to protect parts of the vinyl design you do not want to remove.
- Step 4: Once the back of the vinyl is moistened, start peeling away the front of the vinyl design.
- Step 5: Use the cloth to go over the area removed to get rid of any adhesive that may have been left behind.
- Step 6: You are now able to heat apply the corrected design over the area you removed.
TIP: If unwanted vinyl was accidentally heat applied onto the garment with your design, use a cotton swab instead of a cloth and follow the above directions.
