On New Year’s Day 2015, the NHL® will hold its seventh Winter Classic game. The outdoor game will be held at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C. this year, and will feature the hometown Capitals against the Chicago Blackhawks. As is usual with these games, each team will be wearing special uniforms for the event, with the Caps donning a “faux-back” new jersey that is designed to look old-fashioned. The red sweaters will feature white striping on the front shoulders and a “Capitals” wordmark over a blue “W.”

The Blackhawks will be wearing jerseys inspired by their 1957 uniforms, with lace-up colors, the team’s tomahawk patch moved down the sleeve, and all-black letters and numbers.Speaking of the letters and numbers, you can order Winter Classic player kits, officially licensed by the NHL® and NHLPA®, on Stahls’ NHL Player Name and Number Kit page. Just select Chicago or Washington in the Team Name dropdown, “Winter Classic 2015” under Jersey Type, and the player whose kit you wish to order.

Each kit includes the player’s name and number, captain’s “C” or alternate’s “A,” if applicable, and an official NHL player label and hang tag. Letters and numbers are backed with a temporary adhesive and can be set in place with a heat press, but must be sewn for permanent application.

These jerseys are sure to be hot sellers for the holidays, so when you’re preparing to customize jerseys for your customers’ favorite players, turn to Stahls’.
