Back in October, STAHLS’ launched a program to help decorators reach their goal of starting a heat press business. The STAHLS’ Heat Press Scholarship Program, formerly the A2Z™ Heat Press Scholarship, gives people the opportunity to win the heat press and accessories to take their business from passion to profit! If a heat press isn’t in your budget, this program is your chance to get your business off the ground.
The initial turnout for the program was amazing! We’re so happy to see how many people are passionate about starting a heat press business. It was a tough decision, but after reviewing many submissions, our Scholarship Committee chose the first 3 winners for December. Each winner was awarded the STAHLS’ A2Z Swing Away Heat Press and protective cover, 6″ x 10″ platen, and more! We’re excited for you to “meet” the winners and can’t wait to see the products they create using their brand new heat press.

The Patsy Family
The Patsy Family entered to win the Heat Press Scholarship because they wanted to start creating apparel for their supporters. They run a successful YouTube channel with over 450K subscribers where they make family-friendly content and review popular toys! They’ll use UltraColor™ Soft, Goof Proof®, and Elasti Prints® to create fun designs and connect with viewers all over the world!
Alma Greenwood
Alma is a seller on Etsy looking to expand her business from bead making to heat pressing.
“Due to COVID my hours were reduced. I have two YouTube channels with close to 100K followers altogether. I’ve decide to focus on heat transfer. I have a website and an Etsy account and I just needed a little push.”
She also does embroidery work and specializes in uniforms. Alma plans to add Glitter Flake™ and UltraWeed™ HTV for heat printing uniforms as well as customized masks and T-shirts.
Haley & Nikki – Old Coast Co.
Haley and Nikki had their babies during COVID and thought it was the perfect time start their business.
“Staying at home gave us time gave us time to hang with our babies and explore creative outlets which got us started on heat printing! My friend was unfortunately laid-off from her job, however, it pushed us to take the leap into starting our heat printing business together! Turning lemons into lemonade.”
Their plan is to create apparel for locals and tourists in their coastal town, with an emphasis on children’s clothing. “Kids and toddlers/babies is one of our key target audiences. Our “raised by waves” and “raised by mountains” onesies and toddler tee shirt designs are versatile for kids who love the coast or camping, and our “make waves” tees encourage kids to be themselves and take risks!”
