Experimenting with HTV is one of our favorite things to do and one of our favorite things to see from our customers! With such an array of special effects to choose from, it’s easy to get creative with CAD-CUT® heat transfer vinyl. While we lab test all our materials for quality assurance and offer recommended application settings, sometimes it’s fun to think outside the box and play around with different combinations. In these cases, we always recommend testing to ensure the adhesion and durability of your unique combinations.
Skip Davis from D4 Graphics provided a few examples of what you can make when you start thinking outside the box. A different take on dimensional patches, Skip combined two popular special effect materials to create a one-of-a-kind finish. CAD-CUT® Soft Flock has a velvet, suede-like texture with a fuzzy feel, while CAD-CUT® Soft Foam offers a unique, raised look with a soft and pliable finish.
Skip cleverly combined the best-selling attributes of these two materials by layering Soft Flock over Soft Foam. By adding the dimension of the Foam and the texture of the Flock fibers, these hats are sure to turn heads with their eye-catching finishes. Thanks for sharing, Skip, and keep up the great ideas!
