The Spirit of Stahls 1934 Ford Deluxe Phaeton

After nine days and ten states, The Great Race wrapped up this past Sunday in Mobile, Alabama. Over 90 classic cars finished the race, with Barry and Irene Jason, in a 1935 Ford Coupe, coming out as winners for the second consecutive year.

Congratulations to Ted and Mary Stahl, who finished in 37th place (out of 91 cars) in just their second year in the race.  Congratulations also to Brett and Dan Stahl, who came in 7th (out of 31) rookie teams!  Overall, it was a successful and fun Great Race for Team Stahl.

The real winners, though, were the kids. Team Stahl supporters helped raise over $3000 for Great Race autism-related charities. Thank you to everyone who contributed.

The Great Race is over and the cars are headed home, but the spirit of the event, both in its charitable donations and its celebration of automobile history, lives on.  Stay tuned for the 2014 Great Race, which will stretch from Maine to Florida!
